About.

Women2Women Forum is a registered 501c3 non-profit whose mission is to enhance a community that recognizes, strengthens, and advocates for Pakistani - American Women. Our team has been serving the Pakistani-American Community of the tri-state region since 2017. We build and sustain community development programs in line with our mission statement that encourage leadership, philanthropy and advancement for all.  

​Our various initiatives aims to:
  • Provide networking opportunities.
  • Create alliances among professional Pakistani-American educators, entrepreneurs, engineers, lawyers, politicians, artists etc.
  • Collaborate directly and indirectly with the local organizations and community projects such as social services organizations, governments, Masjids, health services etc.
  • Facilitate opportunities to develop exchange programs with Pakistan and other places.​
  • Support South Asian women facing difficult times by offering guidance, temporary shelter and housing solution through shared housing opportunities.
We are a team of Pakistani-Americans, a strong fabric seamlessly woven into the beautiful tapestry of American society, working to make this social fabric even stronger and more vibrant.

Our board consists of trailblazing multi-generational Pakistani-American women. Together with our different backgrounds and generational diversity we collaborate and execute ideas that will empower, uplift and inspire all generations of Pakistani-Americans. As we continue to grow the organization, every year we democratically inaugurate a new board member. See all board members below in inauguration order.

Nusrat Sohail
Founder & President

Nusrat has been an educator for over twenty-five years, working in both New Jersey and Pakistan. Her academic background includes graduate programs in Education and History. She has also served as the Principal of a local Islamic school in New Jersey.
Known for her socially engaging personality and unwavering commitment to serving her community, Nusrat constantly strives for excellence in everything she does. Her ability to connect with peers and colleagues has made her a respected role model in the community. Passionate about community service, she actively collaborates with numerous organizations to support meaningful initiatives.
Driven by a vision to empower and uplift Pakistani-American women and youth, Nusrat founded the Women 2 Women Forum. She is deeply committed to providing women with both a place of refuge and the life skills needed to support themselves and their families. In addition to her work with the Forum, Nusrat directs the Shehzori Project, a program that encompasses a women's shelter home and an affordable housing facility in New Jersey, where with her team, she continues to make a profound impact on the lives of women in need.

Ghazal Rahman

​Inaugurated ​2021

Ghazal has 20+ years of experience in the financial industry, starting as a part-time teller and working her way up to Vice President at M&T Bank. She studied and built her career from scratch  and worked in various roles before furthering her career in retail banking as a single mother. Now  she wants to help other women overcome obstacles they face in their personal and professional lives and tap into an unseen potential. Ghazal is one of the founding members of W2W Forum before stepping down to care for her ailing father. But now, Ghazal wants to honor her late father's legacy to empower women. Ghazal directs the Domestic Violence Support & Shehzori House program at W2W Forum. The program goal is to provide resources and guidance on alleviating domestic issues. Her mantra is "we learn how to address small issues early on before they become bigger issues in the long run and possibly turn into violence." We’re excited to have her on the Board!

Sabina Mahmood
Executive Director
Inaugurated ​2019

Sabina is by profession involved in the pharmaceutical industry. Her strength and passion to serve the community helped her in getting connected with the community members instantly and involving them in her projects. Everyone who knows her, loves her dependable personality and willingness to help in all areas. Sabina serves on many interesting projects in the community. In the past she has worked on Dance USA Dance, The Anny Khan Show, International Mushaira, Sufi Night, New York Fashion Show, and web-series related to breaking stereotypes. She has valuable experience in community development and public relations that enriches and advances W2W Forum. As a team we are honored to have her on our Board!

Farhana Omarzai

Farhana is an enthusiastic and dedicated member of the Women 2 Women Forum. As a proud mother of four daughters, all of whom actively volunteer with W2WF, Farhana exemplifies a strong commitment to community service. Professionally, she is a seasoned educator with extensive experience in local public schools and a deep passion for teaching Urdu. Her teaching journey includes roles at the Sunday Islamic School in Iselin and involvement in the Hindi-Urdu STARTALK Summer Program at West Windsor-Plainsboro Regional Schools.
Recently, Farhana embarked on a significant career transition into IT SAP, a field quite different from her previous roles. This shift represents a major change, and she is currently adjusting to her new career path with the same dedication and enthusiasm she has shown in her previous roles.
Farhana's volunteer work is highly valued within the community. She plays a crucial role in connecting the local Masjid community with the Shehzori House program, ensuring that those in need receive support and assistance.
At the Women 2 Women Forum, Farhana directs the Urdu Academy program, where she teaches students the rich and beautiful Urdu language. Her program has gained recognition not only within the local community but also internationally, attracting students from various countries. Farhana’s efforts in this program highlight her dedication to preserving and promoting cultural heritage while fostering global connections through language education.

Shehla Rupani
Executive Board Member

Shehla is a warm and engaging individual known for her dedication to helping others, making her a cherished member of the community. Her American journey began 35 years ago when she moved here, married in Maryland, and then relocated to Vermont with her husband. After starting a family and having three children, Shehla and her family moved to New Jersey, where she began her career at a bank as a Teller/ Customer Service Representative. As a mother of four, Shehla's career path evolved from pursuing paralegal training to working as a part-time educator and ultimately finding success in real estate. She currently excels in her real estate career and played a crucial role in the real estate aspects of the Shehzori House Shelter project
In addition to her professional achievements, Shehla leads the "Travel Faminista" project for W 2 Women Forum, fueled by her passion for exploration and connecting people through travel. She also has a keen interest in interior design, enjoys traveling, good food, and music, and treasures time spent with friends and family..

Beenish Ambreen
Executive Board Member

Beenish has explored many capacities through out her lifetime; from education to coaching to administration in corporate America, she has fulfilled her duties and then some. However, a constant that has been prevalent throughout her lifetime is her love of writing and expression through several artistic genres. She is especially passionate about writing about underdogs and their experience in these tumultuous times, and hence her role in Women 2 Women Forum  does just that. Where the roles she occupies in the public forum fulfills her “living”, her role on the W2W platform fulfills her “life”. Her belief is that it takes one person to bring a permanent change to a prevalent problem and hence her efforts with W2W forum are just that. She has been the Editor in Chief of Dasaatn, our annual
'International Women's Day' magazine for over 3 years. Her curation of stories and content has brought light in written form of many important and expressive topics within the community. We are humbled to have her on Board!

Bushra Salman
Executive Board Member

Bushra is an IT Architect by profession and has a multi-dimensional personality. She is a poetess since she was a teen and loves to cook. She believes in having a "purpose" in life and her definition of blissful life is the one with defined goals. She believes giving back to the community is important. She has been involved in community work since she was young. She keeps on looking for opportunities to benefit people around her using her abilities in both tangible or non tangible ways. She is community leader of the Salesforce Trailblazer group known as "Women In Tech". Within this group she helps others find career pathways within the Technology Corporate sector, specifically using their Salesforce training. We are so happy to have her on the Board and direct our program "Women in Tech" under W2W Forum. This program has already helped numerous!

Sidrah Jamil
Executive Board Member

Sidrah Jamil is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experiences at some of the most prestigious companies in the industry. She has worked at Bloomberg, Disney and Jefferies, where she gained valuable insights into financial markets. Currently, she is contributing her expertise at PSEG, New Jersey's largest utility firm, where she plays a key role in financial management and strategy.
Her academic credentials position her as a leader in the field. She earned her MBA in Pakistan, providing a solid foundation in business principles, and recently completed a second MBA from NYU Stern, one of the top business schools in the U.S. 
Beyond her corporate career, Sidrah is deeply committed to women's empowerment and community service. As the founder and president of Soul Sisters USA, she leads the largest South Asian women’s support group in the country, which now boasts a robust membership of 34,000 women. This organization serves as a vital platform for women to connect, share resources, and support one another in various aspects of their lives.
She also serves on the Board of Directors of Woman 2 Woman, where her leadership helps guide the organization’s mission to empower women. In addition, she is the Program Director for Shehzori House, the flagship initiative of the organization, providing essential support and services to women and children in need. Furthermore, Sidrah is a core team member of "Synergistic Connections," a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) program within our nonprofit. In this role, she works diligently to foster an inclusive environment, ensuring that all voices are heard and valued.
