Our Programs

Follow to be Involved
Our non-profit has many programs that address different areas of the community. Each program is overseen by one or more board members at Women 2 Women Forum (see About page for board member list). Our programs are listed below and open to all. 

* Shehzori Housing Project

Shehzori House in New Jersey: We’re incredibly excited to avail the opportunity to open our doors to a transitional home and women empowerment center! The shelter home is a place of temporary refuge, comfort, strength and love. Shehzori House provides an empowering environment to women and guide them to establish financial self-sufficiency, short-term goal-setting, and long-term planning for their future, thus, building a positive life change with integrity and purpose. Resident women have the opportunities of earning through sewing, food prep and more.

*  International Women's Day Celebrations & Community Discussions

Women 2 Women Forum over the past six years, has endeavored to outline the crucial contributions of Pakistani-American women and youth as we believe we are part of the strong fabric sewn perfectly within the beautiful tapestry of American Society. Through this effort of acknowledging and celebrating the significant contributions of Pakistani-American women and youth, our forum has played a vital role in recognizing and amplifying our community’s positive impact on larger American society. This recognition serves as a testament to the diverse talents, skills, and accomplishments within the community, contributing to the broader narrative of success and progress in the United States.

* Urdu Academy of North America

Urdu is one of many prominent world languages that is spoken by Pakistanis. To connect Pakistani-Americans inter generationally, our program teaches Urdu for any age. Historically, second generation children of immigrants lose touch with their native language. This causes a growing rift with their parents and grandparents, and causes communication barriers. Urdu Academy teaches Urdu in a fun and engaging ways to keep learning interesting. For activities, visit our Facebook page "Urdu Academy".

* Empower Through Adventure & Build Healthy Habits

Summer Hiking Trips
Bridging the gap between generations through adventure. Bringing families together through adventurous activities and creating inter generational dialogue. Some of our events include: Hiking, Whitewater Rafting, Biking on the Boardwalk, Horseback Riding and Skydiving. For activities, visit our Facebook page "Empower Through Adventure”.

* Domestic Violence Support

At the center of social issues, women are generally the most vulnerable and in need.  By providing support to  single mothers, women with generational concerns, and victims of domestic abuse we're strengthening our community at large. Support is provided through mobilizing our community and connecting with external resources.  

* Elevate Youth Voices

A youth platform that connects young generation of Pakistani-Americans to the available resources within our community. As well as promote leadership in politics, education, entertainment and STEM. Youth meet monthly to volunteer with different organizations around the community and earn volunteer hours. Some previous events: South Asian inspired Care Packages to Plainsboro Pantry, Apple Picking for the Hungry with NJ Farmers Against Hunger/ NJ Officials, Sending Eid Gifts to Children in NJ with multiple masjids and non-profits.  

* Women in Tech

We are launching a new Salesforce training program as part of our "Women in Tech" initiative. This twelve-week pilot program's fee is subsidized to $350.
​Over the past year, we have provided self-paced Salesforce training, and this new initiative is designed to help women gain the skills necessary to become certified Salesforce professionals, enhancing their job prospects.

* Synergistic Connection

We are thrilled to launch our new program focused on Diversity, Equity, Inclusion (D.E.I.), and Allyship to support women's empowerment. While the program outline is still being developed, we invite diverse members of our community to join us in broadening our impact and perspective.​

*Dastaan

We are excited to announce the upcoming release of our 5th newsletter, titled Dastaan. This edition will feature a rich mix of poetry, stories, and interviews from various community sources. The newsletter will be distributed at the 7th International Women’s Day Gala in February 2026.

* Promoting Girl's Education in Pakistan

SRI girls seeking education
In partnership with Swat Relief Initiative (SRI), this  program is providing girls education in rural areas of Pakistan. In rural areas where there are no further education for girls, they are usually married off at the average age of 12. By providing further education, young girls have the opportunity to pursue college and build careers. Currently we are supporting an SRI Girls Model School in Islampur, Swat, Pakistan.
